About this deal

I have read that the Dali's tend to be bright so a warm recevier Marantz (6013/6014?)would be a a better fit, but dont know how the Maratnz would be compared to the 3600 (there is a good deal at the momnet on the 3600s). Would you recommend swapping out the recevier? The integrated limiter works in two areas: It compares the input signal amplitude to the potential output signal level, and it compares the available supply voltage from the power supply to the expected output signal. If any of these comparisons show that there will be a problem then the limiter will cut the signal in a soft manner and without affecting peak power.

It can sound complicated but it's really not and it does work seamlessly. The 3600 also benefits because it is no longer driving the R300s and the that saved power is distributed to the remaining speakers connected to the 3600. Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 28th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) I would like to start by saying that I think the Leak Stereo 130 is an excellent choice for the basis of a stereo system. Leak was one of the very early legendary audio companies. It's great that they have been resurrected. Right now, I have a 10" Cambridge Audio Aero 9 (used to also have the 10" X500), a 10" XTZ 99W10.16 & a Velodyne SPL-800 Ultra - this one only goes up to 135Hz but works in my situation due to it being a small room & the sub is placed right next to the speakers. This should give you an idea of the types of subs to use/get. I do not use all three - it was just part of my quest to find the best suited subwoofer for the Minx Speakers!!To improve sound reproduction in general, and to ensure that this subwoofer is able to perform under difficult circumstances, a limiter has been incorporated in the amplifier section. The Dali is a pretty subwoofer, but I agree with Robbiey. Their stated frequency range is 28 Hz to 190 Hz +/- 3 dB. For music (except for pipe organs and synthesizers) it should do the job nicely. For HT, I'd be looking at subwoofers that will get you down to 20 Hz (and 25 Hz with excellent output). You have a medium size room (56 cu. meters or around 2,000 cu. ft) so at a minimum I'd be looking at the SVS PB-1000 (but if you have the funds, the PB-2000 would be an impressive improvement). Don't know where you call home, but SVS may be available to you. Forstærkeren i SUB E-9F er en Klasse D-konstruktion med en maksimal effekt på 220 watt, hvilket er rigeligt til de fleste formål. Som en ekstra bonus får du en nyudviklet ”limiter”-funktion, som umærkeligt overvåger signalet og sørger for en blød afrulning af meget kraftige spidsbelastninger, som ellers kunne give forvrængning eller ligefrem skade subwooferen.

I really like the Sonetto 1s - clear, detailed, balanced (no overbearing bass) and bigger, airier, soundstage than the Menuets which were stunning but restricted in size! It has been designed so that the DALI SUB C-8 D subwoofer works just as well with music and movies. The SUB C-8 D is anything from a boombox because it has an 8″ down-firing woofer that is strong and detailed. The Dali sub C8D has a built-in Class-D digital amplifier and can deliver a massive 170 watts, with peaks of up to 220 watts. This low distortion amplifier delivers a strong, well-balanced sound to the bass cone that fills even the largest rooms. The C-8 D is melodic and quite capable of getting (very) loud. You get the punch you want from action movies, but the C8D is deft enough to let you hear the various textures of a bass guitar rather than just a single one-note bass boom while listening to music. I searched high & low & there are not that many brands out there which offer subs that go 150hz or higher. Obviously the CA ones do as do SVS, XTZ & some others but then cost comes into play. If you absolutely have to have streaming functionality built in to the amp I'd suggest the following for audition: With its Class D digital amplifier built-in, the E9F produces an immense 170W. This low distortion amplifier provides the bass cone with a powerful, well-balanced sound for even the largest rooms. On the rear panel you'll find controls for volume, phase and frequency cut-off, plus the option of auto on/off.

Specifications:

I have owned a PowerNode 2i, and found it to be far more capable than I expected, so well worthy of audition. On this review the guy tried PB2000 in small room (1,200 cubic feet), getting slightly bloated bass but after running Audussey XT32 which you have too, it was fine. The heart of this subwoofer is the 170W RMS Class D amplifier with a highly linear response. Embracing a classic DALI trademark, it simply acts as a total low frequency extension of your AV system. The result is a powerful, wellbalanced bass reproduction and flawless integration with your speakers. In addition, the integrated limiter helps protecting your subwoofer against overloading.

Equipped with both LFE and line inputs, the Dali E9F allows for easy integration within your AV system and delivers both power and accuracy for a dynamic home cinema experience.I was told that it's better to have 2 small subs than one large. So my options are two Dali fazon subs, or one Dali E12F for the same price. Doing a audition is not possible. My concern with the fazon is that it has a 6.5 inch driver which seems more suited for a satelite speaker setup and "inferior" response Is this a misconception on my part? Would the 2 fazon subs be better given my room accoustics, or does the higher "quality" of the E12F actually be better for my room? Any other advise will be greatly appreciated. All DALI subwoofers are compatible with almost any amplifier, receiver or processor due to the choice of LFE or LINE inputs.

In the review of DALI SUB K-14 F, we found that it is equipped with a 500-watt class D amplifier and a 14″ aluminium long stroke woofer, giving it the power and precision needed for both wonderful music and spectacular movie reproduction. Prepare to be pushed lower in your seat by connecting your amplifier to the subwoofer via LFE or line-out. DALI advises using this subwoofer with systems like RUBICON, OPTICON, or ZENSOR, among others. Customers with speakers from other manufacturers will, however, undoubtedly also find what they require in this sub. Really looking forward to comparing the Sonetto 1 vs the Rubicon 2, and to see how well the Menuet stands up against these bigger speakers. I’m sure the Rega Brio will be fine but as I said I won’t be able to test anything else in that mid size price range with this dealer. Shame because I know there are more powerful mid sized amps like the Cyrus One Cast available and there will always be that nagging doubt wondering if it would be more suitable for the bigger speakers?! De fire fødder placerer den nedadvendte basport i den korrekte højde over gulvet, hvor den udnyttes optimalt..Now, some explanation on my selection....my wife says she is not that interested and happy for me to decide but at the same time asking for a discreet speaker size!! Hence the compact Dali Menuets which review really well and look stunning. The KEFs also review well and I'm keen to compare it to the Dalis. I originally started looking at lower priced active speakers and, not being able to afford the KEF LS50 Wireless, I tested the KEF LSX against the Dali Oberon C. The Dali won hands down - clear, beautiful sound compared to a more dull, almost muffled, sound from the LSX. But I want to compare the bigger brothers for each.
