I tried a different brand, shifted to Olay's 7 In One anti-aging serum and recently, this Youth Concentrate. The formula is a cream-gel and it’s a deeply hydrating mask that you massage onto your face before going to bed and leave on overnight to reveal skin that’s softer, plumped up, renewed and visibly bouncier. Dimethicone acts as an emollient and helps prevent moisture loss during the day whilst glycerin is a time-tested humectant that bonds moisture to surface skin cells. Denatured alcohol is the fourth highest concentration ingredient in this cream, after only water, dimethicone, and glycerin. The Concentrate, the Cream and the Bouncy Sleeping Mask all come in thick green glass bottles and jars which look lovely and feel very luxurious.

This product has a unique gel-to-water formula and feels refreshing on your skin as it prepares it for the next steps of the routine. A total bonus for busy lives, we’ve also boosted it with protection from indoor and outdoor pollution. It’s always good to start preparing your skin for ageing before it begins to show the signs, this is a nice non-harsh product to use. For me, if I’m wearing a slightly richer serum underneath such as Aesop Lucent Facial Concentrate, or something that has a little more body and ‘tack’, then this is enough for my skin during warmer days. It’s often used together with ethylhexylglycerin as it nicely improves the preservative activity of phenoxyethanol.

The whole range of “Drops of Youth” has a colour theme of green and black based on their plant based ingredients and to signify evergreen skin. Fans of the product claim it’s helped them look their absolute best, minimising fine lines and wrinkles, boosting glow and even tackling acne.
