Aromatherapy Massage

This is a holistic form of massage with essential oils. The aromatherapy massage detoxifies and beautifies your skin. This massage is designed for relaxation. Pure essential oils applied to the body will relieve stressed muscles, increase circulation and soothe the mind, body and spirit.

Dynamic Bodywork

This therapeutic massage involves using the whole body to generate power and movement. Sweeping the forearm in a rhythmic motion over larger areas engenders a sense of interconnectedness throughout the body, and a guided elbow or knuckle provides localised pressure when required.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.

Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Sports Massage Therapy

This work builds on the strengths of the deep tissue work but is more focused on problematic areas such as 'knots' - contracted fibres that are unable to release as they stick to each other and become adhered. Sports massage is more likely to address specific muscles or muscle groups, or ligaments and tendons. It is also used to treat strains or injuries and to maintain muscles in their optimal conditions.

Hawaiian Lomi lomi Massage

Lomilomi is deep prayerful bodywork that allows us to be embraced within the intention and blessings of Aloha. The practitioner uses long flowing strokes to envelope the entire body, reminding us of our personal power to create change by being in a receptive connected heartspace.

Therapeutic Massage

This is the application of Swedish massage strokes, pressure and movements on the soft tissues and joints of the body to address a wide range of health conditions which can be tailored to a client's particular body, health and needs. Oil is used directly on the skin to facilitate the massage movements. It may reduce pain and stiffness in muscles and joints, as well as promote deep relaxation, reducing anxiety and fatigue.

Indian Head Massage

This has physical, emotional, mental, and energetic benefits. The movements vary from very light stroking to deep kneading, and cover the upper back, shoulders, neck, arms and head. Treatments can be relaxing and slow or very vigorous. It helps to enhance the flow of energy within.

Thai Yoga Bodywork

This traditional system of works by enabling the movement of energy along the contours of the body. It can be vigorous or gentle, increasing flexibility and circulation, as well as facilitating re-alignment. It is performed fully clothed on a floor mattress, using hands and thumb pressure alongside full body stretches.

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese massage with its roots in Chinese medicine. It incorporates massage techniques, acupuncture points, gentle stretches, meridians (lines connecting acupressure points) and palpation. If you like being fully clothed on a futon then this is the one for you

Pregnancy Massage

This massage is specially tailored to help relieve the extra strain put on the body during pregnancy and to help ease the associated aches and pains. You will always be safely and comfortably positioned for the treatment.

Remedial Massage:

Remedial massage uses deep tissue massage and more specific techniques to address and prevent problem areas in the muscles and soft tissues.  The treatment includes long, smooth strokes as well as other methods on key trigger points.  It is beneficial not only for existing areas of pain, but also to identify imbalances in other areas and help prevent these becoming problematic.

Hot Stone Massage
This utilises the heat retention of volcanic stones. This treatment helps release tension, boosts detoxification and lymph drainage, as well as helping to regulate body temperature. The stones have a deeply grounding and balancing effect. During the treatment stones are placed on acupressure points, as well as massaging the body.
