Sometimes the answer to stress and the effects of trauma is to be found in a stillness that allows us to hear the deeper messages that come from our own bodies. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an extremely gentle form of body therapy that may help you find a natural point of stillness and balance in your life.
During times of stress, trauma and injury our body adapts a protective manner around the initial distress. Patterns of tension show themselves as restriction and compression in our muscles, fascia and internal organs and in an easily-stimulated nervous system. This affects our emotional outlook and sense of wellbeing.
Cranial therapy practitioners use their hands to listen to the subtle rhythms of the body and through gentle touch work with the underlying causes that manifest the symptoms. This stabilises the autonomic nervous system and enhances immune function. As patterns of restrictions resolve, the potency that centred them can now be available to the rest of the system.
I have trained in both the USA and UK, especially in stress, anxiety and the effects of trauma. I have experience of working with pregnant women and attended workshops on pre and perinatal imprinting.
I have trained with working with the cardiovascular system and understanding the role of the gut and its effect on the health of the whole body and am currently studying breathwork. I have also trained in massage therapy, polarity therapy, lymphatic drainage, and raindrop therapy using essential oils.
I am a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association of the UK.
