About this deal

TROPES: Boss’s son, summer fling, new adult, bad boy good girl, all the angst, traumatic past hero, bully/enemies to lovers vibes The story gets 5 STARS. I really loved this story. The concept was unique and original. I devoured it in one day. Vee has a lot going on in her life, she lost her v card to her sister's ex-boyfriend Logan and thinks she is a horrible person. Her sister, Ashley is a prodigy and Vee has always lived in her shadow. Now she finds out her sister is dating Logan again and Vee doesn’t want her sister to find out. When she was 9 years old, she found her dad in the garage after he committed suicide. I’ve been looking forward to read Dia and Finn’s story ever since I encountered them in ‘Dear Love, I hate you’ and safe to say Eliah didn’t disappoint with this book at all. And the fact that we get a duet for Finn and Dia has me all hyped up since they deserve their own happy ending.

Xav's mom sleeps with a minor despite a long standing rep as a great mother and a professional adult woman, then pleads with her son not to tattle on her to the popo? This is a well-written book and the writing style was simplistic in the sense that it was easy to follow. I liked the build up of their relationship and I loved how they grew as individuals. Great chemistry. Great pacing, not too slow and not too insta. The way the story began is not new to me, I have already read books that have as their basis precisely this exchange of anonymous messages. The author, however, did a great job of capturing my interest. I was captivated by the relationship between Vee and Xavier, a little less so what surrounds it. Dia and Finn are a couple that you'll love even though sometimes their behavior will give you a headache, they're still teenagers who make a lot of mistakes and just learning what it means to live in the real world. Most bully romances are shallow and ridiculous. Not this one. This book has real substance. It is fresh and entertaining. All the characters are relatable and real, not just the main ones but all of them. There are twists and turns, it’s not an easy easy read. It’s hooking, intriguing and totally a lot more than I expected. The Hero: Xavier - He is the star basketball player on the team at Easton High. His mother is the principle at the school and his father is a teacher. He recently saw his mother cheating on his father and it screwed with his head, he acted out and lit a stink bomb in school because he was so angry. His girlfriend Bri just happened to be filming a video and caught the act on camera and so Xavier got caught. The relationship was over after she posted it on Snap Chat.

She’s flawless. Point-blank. She’s what my sweetest nightmares are made of. An innocent, cunning little thing I’d do anything to taste.” In the end, I can only tell that the cliffhanger truly broke me and I'm counting the days until “Dear Heart, I Miss You” release day. Xavier is a bit annoying. He's not un unlikeable character. He treats her really well but he makes the worst choices and takes on himself the burderns of his parents. His parents... omg, the perfect blend of awfull and selfish.Leí dos veces este libro. Me gustó tanto, que lo repetí. No podía dejarlo y me tuvo súper intrigada, viví cada sentimiento de los personajes. Sentí este libro por completo. I yelp when he grabs my arm and spins me around to face him. He doesn’t waste a single second taking my face into his hands, aligning his gaze with mine as he whispers, “Can I say it then?” Vee, I felt, was always looking for reassurances or validation somewhere. The author couldn’t sell the i-would-rather-stay-in-than-go-out attitude for the heroine and honestly it just made her kind of pathetic because we also have the “my sister gets more attention than me” plotline going on.
