It doesn't help that the set's mass is divided between the tower part and the dragon platform section, which spreads out the parts and increases the appearance of smallness. I really like the concept behind the design but I really wished that they had made the structure with more bricks. The problem is that the clay is extremely soft and kinda sticky; when trying to model it around a minifig head, it will always stick to the figure itself and if I try to get it off, it tends to deform and even break. I saw some helpful stuff on eurobricks so I will give it a whirl soon, if you have any images of your acomplishments I would love to see them.

Then overpower the Dragon soldier on the steps of the tower and rescue the princess from the dark dungeon! I'm all for the minifigs and the dragon, so the actual build of this set doesn't bother me to the least. The bottom bit with the interior is nice looking and well constructed and the very top bit with the crystal is nice, but overall, it's too small. My son has lots of legos experience and neede much more help than normal for a 6-12, this is best for an experienced 7 yr old builder or novice 8 yr old. And while the LEGO Kings Castle was definitely the jewel of this series, this dragon with mini-tower, which always served as the bad guy's lair in our house, was a close second favorite, especially after the dragon appeared in the The LEGO Movie .
