Originally, I trained in Germany as a medical masseur, physio- and hydrotherapist, which is a recognised State training. This was followed by the Hauschka, Rhythmical massage. I worked in Switzerland, in a cancer hospital for three years before coming to England.
I have twenty-five years experience in my profession, learning different methods of treatment.
For the last ten years my work has been, and still is, at Helios Medical Centre, which works along Homeopathic Anthroposophical lines, involving different therapies.
To this day, I enjoy the work as much as when I started.
Body Control Pilates© Exercises
These gentle safe exercises are especially designed to work with the deep core muscles supporting the structure as well as the more superficial muscles throughout the body. It brings tone and vitality back through freeing tight areas, increasing flexibility and restoring muscle tone where it was lost.
If regularly applied our posture can change and we will feel taller and more ‘spacious’ in the body.
A very good way to stay young as one gets older, an improved posture will relieve strain from the joints as well as muscles. Pilates keeps the back supple, is able to bring space back to the spine and relieves back problems.
After the lesson, one certainly will feel the difference and walks away feeling taller and more relaxed in the tight areas.
The classes build up from lesson to lesson, hence regularity is essential. Classes run in blocks of 6. Works best if practiced at home in between too.
History: The Body Control Pilates© Method was founded by Joseph Pilates 1880 – 1967, who himself had trained in Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Gymnastics, etc.
He developed these specific exercises to work directly and deeply with the body’s alignment and understanding of the structures and muscle interactions.
The B.C.P. school is the original one and is Europe’s largest professional body for Pilates teachers.

Craniosacral Therapy
The Craniosacral system is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Cranio-sacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and releasing restrictions in the Cranio-sacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
Craniosacral therapy works with the body's healing abilities to assist change. This can be especially useful where the energy has become restricted or unable to flow causing illness and pain. Injury, emotional upset and mental and physical stress can disrupt the bioenergetic patterns and these difficulties can then remain trapped in the body’s tissues. Gentle touch and listening by the therapist create space for the body to deal with these issues and rebalance throughout the whole system can occur.
